When I was a child, one of our last family outings of the summer was Labor Day. My grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and anyone else we could think of would head for the beach or the lake for the last big picnic of the summer. The year I turned five we went to the lake. I can remember my mom telling me not to go too far out because there were drop-offs and I could drown. Well needless to say I didn’t listen and in less than five minutes I was underwater looking at the brown murky surface, swallowing lake water by the gallon. Just as things started turning black my mother’s hand grabbed my hair and pulled me up. To this day, I wake up thinking about that event and how gracious God was to save my life.
Your big brother always has His eyes on you, aware of your circumstances, and interceding for you, His creation. Think about Philippians 4:13. He has given you the ability to do ALL things. You just need to position yourself with him (through your walk) such that you can receive them. Rest in the security of knowing that He is will always be with you. He has His arms open to you, ready to invest in you.
