Your Father’s plans for you

As you all know, George Washington was elected our first President after leading the colonists in the Revolutionary War, and eventually gaining our independence. He never fathered any children of his own, although he did help raise two of Martha’s children from her first marriage, as well as two of her grandchildren. Still he has been recognized as The Father of our country. Washington epitomized the Greek word definition of Father we encountered yesterday.

To achieve your Kingdom potential The Father simply asks that you be a good steward of the image, talents, and abilities He knew you’d need, therefore, has given you. Consider Bezalel, in Exodus 31:2. He was the chosen craftsman for all the articles of the temple. In Hebrew the word is qara’ is defined as “endowed, called out, commissioned, or appointed.” In order to be chosen for this task Bezalel must have been endowed with special skills as a craftsman. The Father endowed Bezalel with the intricate and analytical mind of a perfectionist. Anyone with similar personality traits knows these skills can often be interpreted by others as a “critical spirit.” But, Bezalel was created for a specific purpose, and he fulfilled it; he used his talents the way The Father intended them to be used. He accomplished his purpose by being who and what he was supposed to be. His relationship with The Father was rock solid.

One more example from an unknown Civil war era writer who didn’t compare it to others, complain about it, belittle it, or make fun of the position, but embraced it:

There’s a king and captain high, and He’s coming by and by, And He’ll find me hoeing cotton when He comes. You can hear His legions charging in the regions of the sky, And He’ll find me hoeing cotton when He comes.  There’s a Man they thrust aside, who was tortured till He died, And He’ll find me hoeing cotton when He comes. He was hated and rejected, He was scorned and crucified, And He’ll find me hoeing cotton when He comes. When He comes! When He comes!  He’ll be crowned by saints and angels when He comes. They’ll be shouting out Hosanna! to the Man that men denied,And I’ll kneel among my cotton when He comes.

This believer got it! He really understood. He acquired his Scriptural perspective from a relationship with The Father who designed through forethought, his purpose and position in life. My question to you is this: “Have you grasped and honored your relationship with The Father by being who He designed you to be? If you have, THIS family relationship is sound – you halak with Him in peace and joy.

Love, Dad
