Family and Friends 11.0

Based on our past two day’s conversations, you know the world will not view you as normal. It is not supposed to! You will march to the beat of Kingdom drums, not that of a popular rock group. You probably will not receive worldly recognition, and you will probably wonder if what you are doing really matters—especially during the day-to-day drudgery. You may even suffer from spells of depression, as did Martin Luther and Mother Theresa. But something about you will draw others into the Kingdom because of your Kingdom position and attitude. Your true attitude of assurance will make you stand out, as it did Moses, by giving you an unusual but humble confidence that will amaze others.

Your final step in building a relationship with The God Family, and one that instills a healthy respect of Divinity, is Hope. While hope may not be considered an emotion, one must possess hope to achieve success within their personal passion. Dozens of verses contained in Paul’s writings remind us that hope is what will make the difference in our lives. Hope will drive us to step out in faith more often, accomplish more with what we have, develop a better attitude, and live a life that will serve as an example to others. If you feel hopeless, read this small sampling of verses that validate the hope you have in Christ:

  • Hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. (Romans 5:5)
  • For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4)
  • He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us (2 Corinthians 1:10)
  • Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. (2 Corinthians 3:12)
  • But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. (Galatians 5:5)
  • I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints. (Ephesians 1:18)
  • There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called. (Ephesians 4:4)
  • The faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel . . . (Colossians 1:5)
  • We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 1:3)

Now, you know that deep inside of you are passions, the ability to care for others, fears, and the capacity for unshakeable hope. When you let Divinity stir these in your heart, you will know that your Friends in The God Family are at work in you. Your passions cause you to achieve. Your caring causes you to develop and mature those whom God brings across your life’s path. The terrors of life are replaced by reverence and respect which helps you develop the kind of individual relationship with each Family Member necessary for hope to carry on through all circumstances. All you must do is make yourself accessible to Them. When you are accessible, accountimacy will occur. As your accountimacy evolves into a friendship with one Member of the Trinity, your relationships with the other Members will quickly deepen. No one will be able to shake your state of assuredness as you become more integrated into your eternal Family. Consider the uniqueness of your Family. That’s right, your Family. Galatians 3:26–29 illustrates your Kingdom position this way:

You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Tomorrow we are going to begin applying this practically.
